At Wombourne School of Millinery we offer a variety of courses
suitable for beginners who have never made a hat before and
who want to try this fascinating craft and for more experienced
milliners who want to learn new techniques.
The millinery
workshop has the advantage of being situated in the home
of one of Britain's leading hat block makers, providing a unique
insight into this essential aspect of couture millinery.
We welcome
visits to the millinery workshop, but please ring to arrange
a convenient time. There is ample parking adjacent to the farmhouse.
Materials
and all the equipment that you will need are available at the
school together with samples of the season's colours from which
you may choose once you have booked your course. The cost of
materials is not included in the course fee.
Accommodation
and meals. Lunch will be provided free of charge in the
pleasant farmhouse kitchen and a list of bed and breakfast is
available.
Wombourne
is just 4 miles south of Wolverhampton off the A449. The nearest
train station is Wolverhampton, from which buses run approximately
every 10 minutes to Wombourne, stopping at the Church.
