miles from Lyon and 18 miles from Saint-Etienne, Chazelles sur
Lyon, a small town of the Monts du Lyonnais, became prosperous
thanks to hair felt hat industry (the hair of hares, wild rabbits
and rabbits).
Opened in
l983 the Hat Making Museum is set in the Jules Blanchard old hat
industry. Besides the public rooms; a unique centre of documentation
about hats is accessible to students, professionals and researchers.
You can find: works, archives, photographs, and videos.
Free paper
